When 20 year old Peter Kverneng from Norway posted the picture below on Facebook, it got an incredible amount of media attention. In the picture, Peter is sitting beside his friend Cathrine with a sign reading: “Cathrine says that if I get 1 million “likes” she will have sex with me. Please share and like“.

Peter Kverneng from Norway got more than 1 million facebook likes

The picture was posted on Wednesday, but by the power of the social media scene, the picture had already gotten more than 1 million likes only two days later. On top of all the “likes”, Peter also received a lot of phone calls from Christian fundamentalists, telling him that he is a horrible person.

However, in an interview with Norwegian media verdalingen.no Peter revealed, that they didn’t go through with the act.

Peter told the media: “No, what people had hoped for didn’t happen. I met with Cathrine yesterday and we agreed that what started as a joke, should also end as a joke.”

Should you be thinking it’s shame that poor Peter didn’t get what he was promised, fear not. The massive media attention resulted in a lot of girls sending their telephone numbers to Peter. But as he tells the press: Yes, it’s going to be a lot easier to get in contact with the ladies now, but I don’t know if many of these girls are in fact old men“.
